Storytelling  Events

Message from Erica

Storytelling is in my DNA. I became a storyteller at a young age from listening to my father tell World War II stories. He told his stories over and over again, yet I never tired of listening to them—no matter how many times I heard them. When my father recounted his stories, he went into an almost trance-like state in which he relived the terrifying events. His descriptions were so vivid, I felt like I was there with him. As he told about the horrors he witnessed when he liberated a prison camp, he trembled and his eyes filled with tears. My eyes filled with tears as well. In my mind, I was at the camp with him, witnessing the desperation in the eyes of the starving and emaciated prisoners.

When I tell the stories of my life, I re-live the experiences just as my father did.

I enjoy sharing the stories in my two memoirs (soon to be three) in the hopes that they will inspire, inform, entertain, and uplift the audience. I am always open to invitations to speak on podcasts, interviews, live online events, or in-person events at libraries, bookstores, book clubs, or all types of gatherings with at least 10 or more people. If you are interested in having me come for a talk, please reach out here.
